Wolf, Yukon

Location and Access
The Wolf property is located in the southeast Yukon 90 km southeast of Ross River, 40 km west of Teck Cominco's Kudz Ze Kayah deposit, and 65 km west of the Wolverine deposit. Access is principally by helicopter from Ross River or from the Hoole airstrip on the Hoole River, 22 km north of the property. An historic winter tote road has been established to the Campbell Highway. The terrain is moderately rugged in the St Cyr Range of the Pelly Mountains with elevations ranging from 1,400 -- 1940 meters.

Property
The property consists of 18 mineral claims totalling 372 hectares. Atna holds a 65.58% joint venture interest in the property with Yukon-Nevada Gold Corp (originally YGC Resources) holding the balance. Partners participate in proportion to their interest or dilute.

History
Early work in the area was by Newmont (1955), Hesca Resources (1972), Newmont (1976), Amax (1982), YGC (1990), Cominco (optioned from YGC 1992 -- 1993).
Atna optioned the property from YGC Resources in 1995 and earned a 65% interest at the end of the 1998 field program. Atna work included geophysical, geochemical, geological surveys, and a 45 hole drill program. The Wolf deposit was discovered in drill hole WF97-07, which cut 25.2 meters grading 6.9% Zn, 2.8% Pb, 139 gpt Ag. No field work has been done since 1999.

Geology and Mineralization
The Wolf deposit is a polymetallic (Zn+Pb+Ag) volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit hosted in a sequence of Palaeozoic volcanic rocks and intercalated sediments. The deposit is bedded and consists of fine grained pyrite, sphalerite, and galena in several moderately dipping (45 degree), parallel, massive sulphide horizons conformable with stratigraphy.

Atna estimated a non 43-101 compliant, unclassified resource of 4.1 million tonnes grading 6.2% Zn, 1.8% Pb, and 84 gpt Ag using a minimum width of 5 meters and a cut-off of 6% combined Zn+Pb. The estimate is based on 31 drill holes within the main zone of mineralization. The deposit remains open at depth and on strike to the southeast.

Seven holes were drilled in the East Slope target about 1.2 km southeast of Wolf on the mineralized horizon, where the best intersection was 4.6 metres (true) grading 5.7 % zinc, 2.1 % lead and 42.6 g/t silver. Additional sulphide and barite occurrences along the mineralized stratigraphic horizon may have exploration potential.

Status
Work is on hold pending development of Wolverine and/or Kudz Ze Kayah
