Yukon
Location and Access
The property is located in the southern Yukon about 40 kilometers south of Ross River and 15 kilometers northwest of the Ketza River gold mine. Access is by helicopter. The area is moderately rugged sub alpine terrain, situated in the St Cyr Range of the Pelly Mountains. There is extensive talus cover on south dip slopes and sub vertical cliffs and cirques on north faces.

Property
Atna owns a 100% interest in 16 claims totalling about 330 hectares. The claims were staked in 1996 as part of a larger project.

History
The area was initially explored by Cyprus and Utah Mines in the mid -- late seventies. Atna staked the Tree claims in 1996 and carried out geological mapping, soil and rock geochemical sampling, an airborne magnetic and VLF-EM survey, and a ground HEM survey through the end of 1998.

Geology and Mineralization
The property is underlain by felsic and mafic flows and volcaniclastic rocks with some interbedded shale and limestone, which constitute part of the volcanic belt that hosts other massive sulphide deposits in the district. Geological mapping has outlined an extensive "yellow trachyte" rock unit that is characteristically sericite altered, sometimes with green (barium?) mica, and with pyrite which varies from disseminated to locally massive and veined. Five occurrences of massive to laminated barite, rarely with disseminated galena and sphalerite, were mapped in association with the trachyte unit. Geochemical anomalies in zinc, lead, silver, gold, and molybdenum were found in association with the barite and trachyte. A horizontal loop electromagnetic survey defined an anomaly that is interpreted to be caused by sulphide mineralization down dip from an outcrop of mineralized yellow trachyte with geochemically anomalous gold and molybdenum.

Status
Drill testing of coincident geological/geochemical/geophysical targets was recommended following the last work program in 1998. However, no work has been done on the property since that time. New activity in the area includes a re-evaluation of the Ketza River gold deposit and teh possible development of the Wolverine VMS deposit. Atna was known for the discovery of high-grade zinc-lead-silver-gold-copper massive sulphide deposits in the Yukon Territories, including Wolverine and Wolf. With those discoveries the company created a track record of success and demonstrated the company's ability and skill at initiating and developing opportunities in new exploration areas. In 2004, we successfully monetized the company's minority interest in the Wolverine deposit with its sale to Yukon Zinc. In addition to the cash component of the sale, Atna retains a valuable precious metal royalty on the existing deposit and any new discoveries at the property. Atna also holds a 65.58% interest in the Wolf massive sulphide deposit.
